So I write poetry, especially the formal stuff, look after 2 kids, 1 husband, 2 dogs, a guinea pig and an aquarium. Oh and I drink a lot of tea, being of British extraction and everything. I called the e-zine The Barefoot Muse as a pun on “barefoot & pregnant” and the bare “feet” of metrical poetry. Since 2008 I also edit the print journal The Raintown Review. I really have dreamed in Iambic Pentameter, although I write my better sonnets awake.

hey. i googled dreaming in iambic pentameter because this is an affliction that has been .. afflicting me for a while now. because i am subconsciouly counting syllables in my head i cannot sleep. i find that my dreams arent always in iambic pentameter, which makes me sleeping attempts futile, due to the stress of my metrical variations. i hope that YOU find it fun dreaming in such meter, but I haven’t slept well in months. there are more of us out here afflicted with the same affliction, and we arent amused when people find it to be entertaining. its burden. my dream poetry sucks.

I think that you really can judge people by the way they comment different stuff. Some people, even expressing negative thoughts, are still polite and they respect and understand other people. Some people are not even trying to be nice, they just don’t care. I think self-confident person will always act nice, no matter what other people do
